Bike Rack

Hi Guys

I have seen some really clever, engineered solutions to getting a bike on the back of a Z4 Roadster, but was wondering whether a standard strap-on (!) rack would work? Or would it just lift and damage the boot ("trunk")?

There are times when I wish I still had the 118...not many of them...

Only for occasional use, need to get a bike back from the South coast.

I saw the brochure and the genuine accessories looked stupid.

I used to do lots of biking when I did triathlon but thought that z4's and bikes aren't meant to mix.
I came to the conclusion that I preferred getting a z4 to biking!

And if I was to need to transport bikes then I would need to hire a more appropriate car because I wouldn't get in my new z4 ( still not here) when I am muddy or sweaty after biking.

JonnyMito on here has one for his Coupe - ask him where he got it and maybe they do a roadster version.

Couldn't bring myself to do it for fear of damage, so bought an old nail instead and just through the bike in the back.
