Bike gearing...

No not motorbike, push bike :)

As some of you will know I have a Giant Halfway to help with my commute. And I also know some of you don't consider it a 'real' bike but it does me and I like it :)

now I am finding increasingly that I am 'spinning' a lot more so feel that I need higher gearing - trouble is I have no idea about the best way of doing it :(

What I currently have is a 48 Tooth Front chain ring matched up to a 7 seven speed cassette with is a 14-28 spec...

I understand that a either a large front ring or smaller cogs at the back would do the trick.. trouble is I'm unsure what I can change etc..

I believe the model of cassette I have is a Shimano TZ21, Wiggle have a Shimano HG30 (11-28) currently on offer for £11.99, would this fit? anything else I need to consider?

Thanks in advance :D

Can you change the front chain ring?
dont know - I think the chainring is not removable from the crank, so would I think I would have to change that as well :?

You could keep spinning mind as it will be better for your fitness!

I take that point :D be nice to feel the effort going somewhere though... remember I'm cycling 16 miles a day 4-5 days a week ad I don't like to hang about (average is still 16mph through town streets) :D
