Hello folks.

I used to be on here quite a lot, about 2 years ago when i had a lovely Z4 Coupe in Phoenix Yellow with full yellow and black interior. I sold the car in Summer 2009 as i had just bought a house and couldn't justify keeping it. I sold it to Halliwell Jones in Chester and within a matter of days it had been bought locally.

I have since then, owned a 400bhp Monaro, MG ZT, MX-5 and most recently a Mini Cooper S JCW and now a Mini Cooper S Clubman. Both Mini's have been nothing but trouble, the JCW being returned to HJ Chester as being unfir for purpose, and a new complaint ongoing with regards the Clubby. The worst thing is, last week i was in HJ again, getting the damage they had done to my door repaired, and my old Z4 drove past. I was gutted.

If ever you feel tempted to sell you Z4, if you can keep hold of it, try to do so at any cost, because like me, you will regret it. The car was great on petrol, easy to insure, had stunning looks (still has), was reliable, was fun to drive, i could go on and on. I have been lucky enough to own 32 cars in my 14 years of driving, and the Z4 is the only car i would go back to in a heartbeat.

I am now trying to get HJ Chester to take my Mini back as again being unfit for purpose and due to the messing round i have had with them. I would love another Z4 coupe, but the only way i will be able to afford one is if it is Cat listed, which i don't fancy.

Anyway, ramble over, hope everyone is well and is out enjoying their Z4 today.

The biggest cost in nearly all cars in the depreciation...? Normally the fastest in first few months/year of ownership

So 32 cars in 14 years....to me sounds like you could have afforded to keep the Zed?

Hope you are in a position to get one again soon, and that your old pride and joy was still looking cared for

Your old one was a cracker

Hi MArk,

What an amazing selection of cars in the interim from heavy brute to light weight sports.

Agree - you're car was a great looker. Terhe used ot be one parked at Birmingham Int train station and looked great in the flesh.

Hi folks.

It would appear that BMW have today agreed to take my Clubby S back and cancel all finance etc due to me being messed about not once, but twice by them. I have no idea what i will buy next, but it certainly won't be a mini.

The only Z4 Coupes i can afford at the moment are mega mileage or Cat recorded in some way. I can see myself maybe getting an E46 330Ci, the car i used to have before my Zed, but we'll see.

Thanks for the comments anyway, enjoy your motoring........
