Like to say a big thanks to everyone for all the help and banter, special thanks to Maniac, who shares my rattle obsession.

Deal done on the Z now, perseverance towards month end resulting into a much more respectable deal/partx

Z4 not for me, but I do understand the following. I'll still look in from time to time. :D
 
That's a draw for me too but the interior wasn't as nice as I have now.

Has the power and practicality though! Hope it works out for you.
 
Maniac, if you get in one have a play with the pro idrive, lots of new stuff, turbo boost, bhp etc can be displayed, a gimmick but fun....
 
Have to say, had a great day with the Z today, bank holiday monday, lovely sun shine, no work calls to have to stop and take, and some good quality (pot hle free) A roads, A really enjoyable drive.

A little scare first thing when putting the roof down, and a message came up roof failed when it was in the half open position. Had visions of a call to BMW rescue, but took fob out and left for five minutes, after which it seemed to reset and open as usual?
 
Yep, ticked lots of boxes already. 1200 mile run in period :-( so not over 4k revs, but even under 4k it delivers and feels like your holding it back on a tight rein. Really like the ride, driving position, pretty much perfect for me.
