big brake kit/brembo calipers

Guys, so in here: https://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1075669 guy cannot pair f30 pads with csl 345 disc, because:
Next up is E46 CSL disc 345x28mm. Outer edge is perfect, but the CSL rotor diameter is larger simply due to the rotor hat being larger, on the inner edge the pad material makes contact with the rotor hat, again the pad would need to be shaved down.

But in the topic below guy did it:

What am I missing?

The e46 guy has the wrong discs, they are not pukka csl, they look repop cs discs in 325mm, his measurements I would say confirm this.

If you read the whole thread he put the CSL discs on after cutting the pads back a little on the bell side. It's what I did when I fitted them (that's my Z4 in the last pic).

Haro, then I can put oem f30 pads with z4m disc without any cutting>
Thank you Jakg, so in the end you did some cutting to the pads  Now way to avoid that

If you look at this picture

rQwgBAx.jpg and imagine a straight line between the two corners of the pad on the left hand side you can see how that would touch the bell of the disc.

I've cut it down in the picture so it's difficult to see I know.

Are the Z4m brakes/rotors a direct bolt on for you guys? If so I'd recommend them, great gear, to be had for very little cash. I just sold my claws and pads for 200US, and they were awesome piece of stopping kit.

I’ve got the 325mm versions of these for my 3.0si e86. Excellent quality as you say Vanne.

@Jakg do you know any other options? I want to swap to a bigger calipers so bad, just for the looks
I know about reanul megane III rs but it does not support pad sensor.
996 from porsche - you need to cut a guard behind the disc. - don't want it either.

Taking a pad sensor out is no big deal - not all cars have them - but the Megane calipers are radial mount so you'll need a properly made adaptor to fit them. Unless you know someone who can make one, it's likely to be much cheaper to go for a caliper where brackets for a BMW are available off-the-shelf (e.g. Porsche Brembo).

I did cover some of the options in my post on Pistonheads, but for an "easy" life I'd be looking at the 135i 6-pots.

I don't think so.

Jakg, thank you so much for your effort, you have helped me a lot.
I have megane's adaptor for about 50 EUR both and calipers 300 EUR brand new.
How bout 135i calipers?
I did a research:
-e8x/e9x performance calipers
-oem pads
-e46 CSL/Z4 M discs 345 mm
-adapter like this: http://rebooteng.com/parts/bmw-135i-brembo-caliper-brackets/ or this: https://www.seemslegitgarage.com/product-page/non-m-to-135i-brake-adapters
I HAVE FOUND A GREAT DIY ARTICLE:
