Bicester Sunday scramble Sunday January 6 2019

At the last minute I thought I'd go and see what all the fuss was about. Great event and a superb venue! Lovely breakfast baps too. :)

Saw some tidy Zeds among the several thousand 911s:

Black coupe *** 343
Black Z4MC ** SGS
Grey Z4MR - Tcochrane92, as above (reunited with my tyres, Tim - what an emotional moment!)
Red 23i - Bodben, above
Black Z4MR **** DSE (what exhaust? looked gd)
Merlot roadster (debadged 6 cyl of some kind) **** KMB
Blue 2.0i roadster **** EYP
Grey 3.0i roadster **** EOZ (nice style 32s!)
Grey coupe **** YML (not sure I caught the plate)

I was in an M2 with a mate and had to dash at the end. Sorry I didn't get to say hello to anybody, I'll be more organised next time!

Wish I had of known about this earlier and got into the PHSS. I went here for a car experience day and there was so many cool garages around.

One to remember for next year!

Don't forget 'fly wheel' in the summer, it's better than the scramble with so much more going on.
I see the 2 coupes Paul, didn't see you but Ed China was there. :)

:D glad someone found my humble z4m! :P
Those tyres are great in the dry, but not so sticky in these conditions! Hehe

Yeah, they are definitely a summer tyre. The MPSS I replaced with them were the same - not very happy on cold, damp days.

Car's looking good. All the more so since you'd dropped the roof and abandoned it.

I spotted your ///M too, as well as a few other Zeds  Mine is 12,000 miles away so I came disguised in my RS4.
It was a great fun with some amazing cars, some of which I’ve not seen before and others I’d forgotten existed. If I’m in the country for the fly wheel I’ll definitely come along.

Totally. Was with a couple of friends about a decade older than me and they were loving the random 70s/80s motors, e.g. those two Bertone-badged Fiat X1/9s - a version I didn't know existed of a car I didn't know existed (but was apparently quite common, back in the day?!).

Ah, nice. Didn't see him but saw Henry Catchpole outside where this was parked up:

So many cool buildings too.

You mean this :) :

The X1/9 was still around when I was a kid, just about, but I’ve not seen the Bertone badged cars before.

This was very impressive for what is essentially a home made car:

I think that X19 was by the historic cart stand. I have just found out that there is no flywheel this year, such a shame

What a awesom day. What a array of cars. Some of those big Bentley just amazing.
And my rather dirty Z got spotted.....
3.0 in sterling grey with the black style 32 alloys

Brilliant day! Never been before, but was wowed by the venue. I don't think I've ever seen so many Porkers in one place! Makes me glad I own the MC! Will definitely re-visit, whenever the next event is.

You must have been to Silverstone Classic then, more porsches there. But yes it was a great event the Sunday Scramble

There is the Wings and Wheels show at Dunsfold (Top Gear track) 15-16th June 2019 which maybe similar enough to compensate a little Fred.

I'm glad someone spotted me! I love my 23i to bits but it did seem to get a little lost in the background amongst all the amazing machinery that was on display!

Wings and Wheels is a fantastic event - although it got rained off in 2018. Not enough visibility for the air displays. :(

Helps it being red. There were a lot of grey cars there! 50 shades of Porsche grey.

I did like the plate of that NSX next to you. “ACU12A”, I think - clever. 8)

Someone had taken the cover off a blue F40 by the time I went into the hangar in your second picture.

I especially liked your last picture

Aww, did it look like the car in the pic below from their website? Made a point to look out for it!
