Bicester Sunday scramble January 7

It's worth watching their website for events ( Bicester heritage) they are having one June 23 and 24 I couldn't make it in 2017 but hopefully going this year .

Whilst I read OP's post I had assumed that it was motorbikes racing in the mud. :P

Looks a great event and may well be tempted next time.

Yep, I was there in my Volvo Amazon...awesome morning out, busiest Scramble yet. The blue F40 was rather tasty...

Fantastic looking alfa, although I wouldn't have parked it so close to that rusty barn wall in case it migrated onto the car :P

Given Alfa's reputation I'd have been more worried about the barn! ...

For those interested (probably not many of you!) it's a late '69 122s Amazon 2 door coupe (not that common) 2 litre 4 pot on twin SU carbs; she's had a few mods over the years and is surprisingly quick for a big old bit of Swedish metal. Plan is to take it historic rallying later this year (after a bit of a suspension refresh)

Ps pics are from Bicester's Flywheel festival last Summer - also well worth a visit.

We went to Flywheel last year and I think I remember seeing your car there,it looks really clean. I do like the shape of the Amazon, they were built to last.
You will have to come on some of the meet ups in the Z, your not to far from me, we try to go to the Ace cafe once a month on the German night.

I think that you are being too modest - it looks great. I hope that my Zed looks that good in another 38 years' time. I hope even more that, at the age of 99, that I still own and drive it!

Good luck with the rallying - sounds fun.

Definitely Firebobby - as soon as I get myself a Zed I'll bring her along to a few meets. Only been to the Ace once, many years ago so would be keen to go again. Interesting that you have a GT6, the 60's equivalent of a 3.0 coupe...!

Thanks RickRob - she looks good from 10 feet away but a long list of bits n bobs to sort out over the next few months before she gets anywhere near a rally!

Hello again MrJollygood.

I like the look of your Volvo  - I think I saw it at Bicester last year as well.
