Unless you adjust them up slightly, so that they’re still MOT-passble...and have cleaned the projectors once in a whileMACK said:+1.mjennings23 said:Only standard on the M I believe, the regular cars had them as an option.
In terms of how s**t they are the halogens are totally s**t, with the xenons slight less so
I might have to give this a try. Did you take the projectors out insitu or did you just remove the whole headlight?mmm-five said:Unless you adjust them up slightly, so that they’re still MOT-passble...and have cleaned the projectors once in a whileMACK said:+1.mjennings23 said:Only standard on the M I believe, the regular cars had them as an option.

I’ve done almost 160,000 miles, and clean the projectors ever 60,000 miles - make such a difference to the light output...and have only had to replace the xenon bulbs once so far (at about 140,000 miles).
Took the whole unit out as the intention was just to polish the 10 years of wear out of the headlight lenses. Saw the amount of dust on the rear of the projector so wiped that off and changed the bulbs. Had to realign them anyway, so decided to align them to the upper limit of the mot specs.MACK said:I might have to give this a try.
