There are loads of people on here who have spent enough money on their cars to have bought a newer one with a bigger engine. People spend 000s doing up / extending a house that they could potentially have spent on buying a newer, bigger one. Others do the same with boats, sheds, furniture, bikes and all manner of things. They don't do it because they are sh1t with money, or lack common sense - they do it because they love what they have, where it is, how it looks, how it feels etc. - they just want to make a hobby of it, see how far they can go, or simply make what is almost perfect that bit better. Jonny's car is mint - he'd probably never get another one in as good condition now because of their age, or he'd spend as much (if not more) money getting it up to his standard. Personally I think we should stop bashing him and help him do what he wants to, not what we think he should. Poking some fun is all well and good, but come on...
