Being a late starter to the BMW marque, I had always wondered what BMW actually stood for. It dawned on me, through casual observation over the years that it clearly means Beware Motorised W***er and unfortunately now that I own a Zed, my opinions have not changed.
Two, BMWs (not Zeds) in one day, today clearly evidencing my thoughts. One, tailgating me at 75 mph on a long dual carriageway on a wet road while I was overtaking a stream of slower moving traffic on the inner lane for several miles. The second one, this evening, pulling up behind me at speed, just short of impacting me as I slowed down approaching road works where workmen were on the dual carriageway. There were two large illuminated lorries spread over a distance of a couple of hundred yards with flashing arrows indicating which lane to use whilst the other was being worked on. Don't get me wrong, everyone makes mistakes, and also when driving, but these morons were driving in an openly agrressive, rude, inconsiderate and intimidating manner as if they were the only drivers allowed to be on the road, a typical F you! attitude. I've seen this type of behaviour from mostly BMW drivers on the continent as well. It's not because I now own a BMW that I recognise one more readily, my observations start long before I owned one.
Just what is it about the marque which attracts more than it's fair share of morons who think that just because they can operate a machine with four wheels means that they are good drivers? If they behaved the same way as pedestrians, they'd be hospitalised pretty soon I'd imagine. Hopefully, they will be hospitalised as drivers too (not their passengers), in that way the roads will become safer.
