Beware 1st Central Car Insurance

I insured my 2.5 SE with Bewiser last July and due to buying a car they wouldn't insure in January 2015, they cancelled my policy. I paid £280 for the year. They cancelled it and offered my £40 refund and not £140 (i.e 50%). I disputed it there and then, now it's June and I'm still waiting having not received a penny yet.
They dont return my calls and whilst I receive a 'read receipt' from my emails, I get no replies. They are sat on £140 that would go nicely in the Alpina fund.
Avoid Bewiser too !

As I haven't read the whole thing I probably shouldn't comment except to say buy cheap buy twice.
Except that 1st Central was almost 3 times as expensive as Esure.
I'll be careful with price comparison sites next year!
Will not be using them again and with the other car due for insurance renewal at the end of the month we will be moving that to Esure from the current insurer. Looks like we'll save over £600 over the year compared to 1st Central and the other insurance company so not all bad!
