:soapbox: Road gritting!!!! better then any speed camera..
Why do they do it, its just a bloody big mess and a waste of money.
Just spent 2hours with the tar remover after some tit had to overtake
everyone covering us all with tarry stones :wkr:
and the roads will be like this for weeks :thumbsdown: makes me mad :x

Have you tried WD40 on tar... works surprisingly well
 
Its crazy there are now 4 roads near me with with these chippings
I hate it when i see a 4x4 coming the other way at 40 spraying the chips everywhere :driving: :telloff:
 
Same issue here in Wales.

Spent £1100 on a part respray taking care of stone chips, then 1 week later council dump shed load of stones on all roads out of my village.

I've lived here 6 years & first time they've done that, what were the chances!? Lazy buggers.
 
Same in my area, is there a surplus of stones or something? They never even roll them down, just piles of the stuff.
 
THey're starting that bulls*it here, putting a little tar on the surface then dumping loose chips on top...I guess we are supposed to use our tires to roll them in. A88holes
