Best Z4M battery available?

After not driving the car for 10 days the battery is flat. Looks to be the original battery still in the car.

What's the best one available?

TIA.

You will get many answers. I have a Bosch standard batter and it does the job like any other battery. No need for agm as the car will make no use of it. We don’t have stop start, brake regeneration etc....

What about Halfords battery for life, almost £150 but for cars lying up for four or five months and you plan to keep your car it’s worth thinking about.

I've just, this afternoon, bought a Varta from Battery Megastore on Ebay. I've used them on several occasions and they've always been very knowledgeable and helpful. £87.50 for one for the 'M'. Will be delivered Tuesday. :)

I always replace the standard battery with a Bosch Silver (S4/S5) when it fails, great cold crank power but they aren't cheap at around £150 IIRC. Seem to last years and years though.

I went with a lifetime guarantee AGM from Halfords, was £150 but after reading on here for ages, that was the one I went for. Seem to be so many different opinions on this.

Also, if you are leaving the car in cold conditions for 10 days or more, I would get a trickle charger. They don't like being run that low and never seem to be the same after.

Bosch’s S5 type 96 agm was a good replacement for my original battery. Starts better than ever now.

Just to add... I had this issue, turned out to be the tracker unit, since removal battery is holding charge! :driving:

Did it cost you much to get it disconnected? Thinking of doing the same....

About 2 hours of my time, Fairly easy once you find it to trace it back and disconnect.

Bosch / Varta AGMs work great. If you leave your car for long periods without use / charging, get an AGM one as per the factory. I've tried them on cars and bikes and the AGMs are much more tolerant of lower voltages and last longer.

For a daily, or if you have a battery tender, it probably doesn't matter much.
