Very interesting. Ford never sold as far as I can see, a Focus Convertible in the U.S. A google search shows them in Europe and Australia. Its a Nice looking car, Nothing like the starter CAR in the US priced between 15 - 25,000. Got my first compliment this afternoon,i had just dropped the GF outside the local supermarket and was just to about to pull away when a guy stopped me and started asking about the H/top i had on,was it an extra or did it come with the car and his parting words were it looks good with top on and that made my day. 
The weird thing was he didn't look like he was into cars but he obviously knew it was a convertable and the h/top was an add on.
I know i have broken the first law of owning a Zed,11c bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky and i still have the h/top on so i will give myself a :rcard:.

A guy on the weekend pulled alongside me in an Alpina D3 (2009 Plate), i had my hood down and was with the wife.
He pulled his window down and said "thats a fucking cracking car!"

If it makes you feel better, mate, there's a Maldive's Blue 2.0 that I often see around and about here. My GF always says "That's so much nicer, why didn't you get that colour instead of this brown one!" (mine's Merlot Red) :x

I was driving mine back in january when the UK had lots of snow (unusually). Two guys had parked their souped up Corsa (with a bent rear wheel from a kerbing incident) and walked behind my car as I waited at a T junction turning left.
As I set off I slipped the wheels and sprayed snow slush behind me almost catching the guys in the process. All I heard was Whoa! then 'Respect for driving that in this weather.' I felt really cool just for a second.
The car always gets compliments when I park it up. Everyone seems to love it.

Yeah,even tho i've had mine for a few yrs now,from then til now,i get qt a few appreciative looks and comments/from ppl of all ages 
espcly when i have the roof down
ppl defntly think it costs alot more(than the 20k i paid for it,back in 07)
the day i brought it back home after buying it,my window cleaner summed it up
saying "that cant be yours,can it. what u do/rob a bank??" lol(he thought it cost me 40k,even tho it was nearly 2yrs old at the time)

I often get the kids on my road complimenting my cars - mainly while i spend my sundays washing them... Although the other day the lad down the road said he preffered my old S2k!
At the lights I got some kitted pug 106 driver say "nice ride - but mine is quicker and better looking" :roll: , i think he saw the 3.0 badge on the side and thought i'd be up for a race... incidently i wasnt too bothered and he stalled at the lights revving anyway :lol:

In 2008 driving back from Europe with my son and through to the ferry at Calais. Sat waiting at the front of the queue when and old UK registered Volvo estate pulled up behind. Four elderly guys got out and looked at the Zed. All four had been visiting the war graves in France, all four had been on active service for the D Day landings. The back of the Volvo was piled high with wine and various bottles of spirits. One by one they all asked if they could sit in the Zed driver’s seat and of course I said yes. They all remarked how it took them back to their youth which no doubt had been cut short by WW2. They loved the simplicity and clean lines of the Zed. We had to wait about an hour for the ferry during which time they told us which war graves they had visited and that they had managed to locate the graves of some of their fallen comrades. Their compliments about the Zed were simple but perhaps the most meaningful and sincere I have had.
