Best wiperblades

im looking forward to some good answers for this one ive tried loads and i cant find anything decent i might try piaa blades but there website says zeds have two 20" blades when im sure we have a 20 and 21 plus i dont know whether to go with standard piaa blades or curved!

I have yet to find anything I like. Valeo Ultimates will not work with the curvature of the Z4 windshield, and they are what I used on my other cars. :(

I have PIAA Z4 does have a 20 and 21 inch I can't remember which is which. However I can confirm that that straight is ok for the drivers side but I would recommend the curved for the passenger.

You can just measure them to see which is which length but I am sure someone will know on here.

Aren't the OEM blades Bosch? They have been great for me.
I'm still on the original blades after 5 years in the Texas heat every day.

I don't have a problem with the OEM blades, I just wanted to know what others have used, if they are better or not etc.

I use the bosch icons....they work pretty good. Although they sit higher up on the windshield than the OEM blades did.

thats what I use... although If someone had a OEM Set, I wouldn't mind getting them again.

+1. Excellent experience with them with other cars. My Z is too new and still running stockers but will replace with ICONS when it's time.

For all the various brands of wiper blades I have tried on my cars through the years I still find that a clean windshield and OEM blades are most often the best choice.

During our winter rain season we pretty much have to use our wipers every day and the main problem fro getting good results from my wiper blades is almost always the crud that gets tossed onto my windshield from the roadway. I like to use a deep cleaning window prep like NoTouch Auto Glass Stripper or Glass Science Glass Scrub to get the windshield really good about every 3 or 4 weeks during our wet season. I typically will clean my windshield with a good window cleaner like Invisible Glass or Eimmannn Fabrik Clean Vision every morning before heading out from my garage - even when it is pouring during the winter or whenever I know I might need my wipers that day. This gets yesterday's grime off of the glass before I start trying to push the wiper blades across the surface to do their deed.

If you care for them, the BMW OEM blades work great and the best part is the fact that they are amazingly cheap. I don't know of any aftermarket wiper blade that costs less than the replacement blades from the dealer.....

Yeah, I'm pretty ritualistic about the glass and blades. I use 100% iso alcohol to wipe clean the blades every month. I take the same alcohol and thoroughly clean the glass. I also use Windex then Invisible Glass and with Griot's Glass Polish and end with Griot's Fine Glass Polish. Rubber still deteriorates and was curious on what other brands were used.

I forgot to add that I make a quick pass on the wiper blades every time I wash the windshield too :D

Anything that helps get dirt and debris away from the rubber blades makes them last longer and work better. Sounds like you are already a believer on this count.

I'll dig up an old thread, rather than making a new one....

What do UK owners do for new blades?
I went to the local Halfrauds and their little booklet didn't have any matches for the Z4.
Do I need to go to the dealers? does ebay have anything worth looking at?

I've been using the Trico Innovision for a year and am happy enough with those. Available on Ebay. Similar to the Bosch Icons in their flat not metal structure.

They make a reasonable effort at cleaning the lower curved corner too and look neat.
