Best way to attach interior door handle trim?

This has fallen off, and the clips on the back side of the handle are all snapped off. It can hold in place for a little while but inevitably falls off. Tried duct taping it in place from the inside but no luck.

Not really excited by the idea of spending ~£40 for a cheap bit of plastic, anyone got any creative suggestions on how to keep it in place?

Only seen them for £30 brand new, still a lot of money for a bit of plastic. I've wrapped them both as well so would prefer to figure out how to stick it back on instead of buying a new one and re-wrapping it

£28 for one from BMW on eBay... What about 4 or 5 dabs of silicone adhesive behind the plastic ? At least you'll be able to prise it off if you ever have to. Or maybe no more nails tape ? Hey do a (yellow) non-permanent version.

Trim Tape ?
I have seen it available in 2 strengths ..One for permanent and the other for removal at some time in the futuer.
Take a look at the adhesives aisle at any hardware / department store.

I had the same problem on mine.Touch od contact adhesive top and bottom has sorted it out and should still be removable in case of door problems.
