Best tyres for the Z4

Hi all,

I'm off to Silverstone next week to finish off my awful Bridgestone RFT's. Looking at the reviews, The Goodyear Eagle F1 ASY 2's are the best (according to EVO and Autoexpress). I was just wondering if anyone has these fitted to their Z4? Also if anyone has different tyres that perform well, I'd appreciate your reviews!

Yeah I have the eagle f1's on mine and they're faultless.

Seriously they're the best tyre i've ever had on a car. Vredestein ultrac sessanta (vorti are the newest ones) are good value but the goodyears are better.
 
Bridgestone Potenza s001 does the job for me.
Also have a set of 17" co.tisportcontact (5 I guess, but not sure) which are a bit less special, but maybe more predictable while fast road driving.

But I dont have any experie.ce with goodyears, so cant really offer any advice.

You won't go wrong with Goodyear Eagle F1's got them on mine :thumbsup:
 
Think Michelin Pilot Super Sports are considered the best tyre for general use by high powered cars.

I'm going for these soon.

Think the Eagle F1 are good though and I think cheaper than the MPSS, but not sure if they last as long.
 
Pilot super sports are in a completely different price bracket. When I bought mine, they were 50 quid a tyre cheaper than the michelins.
 
Well he asked for the best and price is a funny one. If they do last longer, which are cheaper?

I have no experience of either tyre yet as I'm still on the M PS2, but from what I have read, the M PSS seems to be the best tyre around at the moment for general use on a sports type car.

Also tyre reviews are a bit pointless really as every vehicle will perform differently on each tyre. Best trying to find reviews that are relevant to the car they are going on.
