Best sounding/loudest 3.0Si Exhaust Set-Up?

I'd go as far as saying that I am now desperate to get my exhaust system sorted out to make it how it should sound.

Listening to various clips on youtube I love the sound of the RPI exhaust on the Z4M, a distinctive and very loud tone...perfect.

My question is what do people feel is the loudest and in your opinion the best exhaust set up for the Z4 3.0Si?

Although I don't have an M, I am very tempted to head over to M Style to get the quad set-up for around the £650 mark, seems reasonable when considering Eisenmann, Remus, Supersprint prices....

this is what i've just come on to check out myself, and yeah i'm seriously thinkin about the m Style quad setup myself :)

I'd want to hear the M-Style one first if I were you guys. Peddy contacted them a while back for details and the answers weren't convincing.

If you don't want Eisenmann or something like that, see what H&S can do. Have heard some of their M systems and they sound fantastic.

Whatever you do, confirm how they're going to cut and finish the bumper. I ended up doing mine myself (the fitter thought it was okay to just hack away a hole and not finish / role the edge properly), if you're feeling braver, CJ did a great job modifying a facelift carbon diffuser to 1, fit the pre-facelift car and 2, have a second outlet.

Slightly biased, but the quad is a great look

I don't think I've heard an aftermarket exhaust yet that I prefer to stock (on the M certainly).

I'll preface everything I say below by stating that I know you need to hear them in the flesh but from the clips I've seen I haven't been impressed. In comparison some of the Meisterschaft or Akrapovic systems on the M5/M6/M3 sound way better IMO.

If I was going for an aftermarket exhaust for the M I'd want one that amplified not distorted what I think is a marvellous stock sound. I haven't come across one yet that I feel does. Well correction, I have..the AC Schnitzer one (link below) but I detest the tailpipe choice and i think the whole system including manifold is something like £8k ! :o I really don't like the sound of the RPI/Supersprint ones, they make a very unpleasant bark to my ears, and remove the metallic 'zing' that is an M-engine, but hey that's just my personal opinion.

For the 3.0i I always liked the Milltek exhaust (good clips on you-tube), a nice enhancement of a good note to start with. I'd put the Eisenmann a close second place. You may not feel those are loud enough though...

I'd have to agree about that Capristro exhaust....superb!

My concern about the quad set-up was definitely how the bumper was to be altered, apparently the alteration is inclusive of price by M Style, I may make some enquiries regarding it and let you lot know, if it were the case that the bumper was rolled and finished accordingly the price would seem to be quite reasonable.

that does sound awesome. can the control unit go inside the car? how cool would that be ? how much is that setup ? the last part of the clip sounds very much like a 911.
