Best rotary electric shaver

I am in the market for decent but good value electric rotary shaver. There are some crazy prices and claims about what these things can do most of which are not needed.

All I want is a decent shave at a decent price. Not looking at spending over £100.

Most reviews online go for the Phillips 5000 or 7000 ( the 9000 is one of those with silly gadgets and a silly price to match)

Any recommendations out there?

I would love a good one as well. Lynn spent a lot of money on my Philips series 7,000 and I think the shave is crap.
Best shaver i've had was another Phillips that you prefilled with shaving balm/cream and it put it onto the shaver head whilst shaving, but you can't get replacement blades for it.

Looking at the Phillips 5000 which gets a decent write up and is on offer at Argos for £74 which is a good discount. Also have a BlueLightCard which gives me another discount.

In any case a Philips unit, i tried the wet and dry which was ok but started rusting so have a standard one which you can clean under the tap. Is a few years old now but lasts well.

Safety razors ftw.

Been using them ever since I developed bumfluff on my upper lip and that's a long time ago.
Have received various razors and shavers as gifts over the years, all claiming to do this or that but it's all just marketing bullsh!t, they didn't last anyway and I always reverted to a good old safety razor shave.
Once you have your technique down with those things there's no going back.
I always wonder how many 100's or even 1000's of notes I've saved over the years by not buying over-priced razors/shavers. I can make a single blade last for a week or more and they cost buttons.
Give them a go!
:poke:

Edit: ..plus, once your done with the blades, you can put them in a cake and send it to your favourite nemesis.
YW

I bought a Remington once. I liked it so much I bought the company!

Thanks guys, wife has just made the final decision on the Phillips 5000 from Curry’s with vouchers and nectar points comes out at £72 and free delivery in 3 days. Will let you know if I’ve / STMBO have made the right decision.

Now for a glass of red before cooking tonight’s dinner

Nope, I have a one that’s a keeper.

She earned £170 for swapping one of our bank accounts to Santander and the shaver is my half of the deal :D

Ah yes, I have one of those. “My” side of the bed is the edge with the stitching on it

You know how things work. What is hers is hers and what is yours is also hers. My wife said to me the other day when we were having a discussion, “well I would agree with you but then we would both be wrong”. She may have her faults but being wrong isn’t one of them. 😉

I was expecting a story about Pondy’s wife here
Why...what's she been saying now? Since she retired from the sex industry (too old to make a decent living) she doesn't need to depilate as much as she did.
