Guys,

I am looking to fit an aftermarket HID/xenon kit to my 2008 Z4. Any recommendations in relation to a good quality kit that will be easy to install (i.e. "plug and play" rather than soldering wires etc.)? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Scott

Hi, They are all plug and play. No need to cut/solder wires on any of the kits pre or post facelife as the spade connectors fit into the same connector you push the halogen buld into.

Scottg - do a saearch there's loads on thi subject. Xenon aftermarket kit - it's not as simple as plug and play; here's the law......

Here's the cruncher:

'Once fitted to the vehicle it must have headlamp cleaning and self-levelling (which can be for the headlamp or can be in the vehicle suspension - some expensive estate cars have "self-levelling suspension" and that is adequate). Also the dipped beam must stay on with the main beam'

AlanJ's link is completely right.

Of course, plenty of folk don't heed much attention to that info  and fit them anyway. HIDs Direct are the best products going by research I did into them.
