Looking for winter tyres... good price and delivery free
for Z89 17" 225/45/17 runflat or could I use non runflat

Good move sourcing them now
Wait too long & availability for the ones you want get,s harder & of course the price goes up
These would be a good base to start http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?s_p=Falken-HS-439-225_45-R17-91H-with-Rim-flange-protection&details=Ordern&typ=D-110829&cart_id=23267074.110.29533&ranzahl=4&Breite=225&Quer=45&Felge=17&weiter=0&kategorie=6&Ang_pro_Seite=20&Transport=P&dsco=110&sowigan=Wi&m_s=3&x_tyre_for=ALL&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL

Last winter, I specifically was looking for Vreds Wintrac Xtreme & this was the cheapest place at around £125 a corner, balanced & fitted http://www.dexel.co.uk/

Didn't come up on any search engine for prices, just my Bro-in-law asked by chance

Do you think it's worth getting run flats or there is no need ... difference in pricing between the two types is quite a bit.
Like the humour :driving:

I've toyed with the idea for a couple of years, but haven't pulled the trigger yet mainly due to the fact i've had no problems during the winter months
So if you think your going to need them then go for it :)

It's fine if they grit the roads in time, except in Kent the gritting stations are spread much further apart so when the white stuff appears en mass, they don't have enough time to grit them all before they get clogged & blocked on all the inclines & nomatter what some may say, my Zed is pants in the snow on PS3's

Ended up with Vreds Wintrac from Oponeo much cheaper than anywhere else for them, and surprisingly easy purchase, all set for the winter
last years bad weather had to leave the car at work as I couldn't drive it with 19's 326 which followed with tremendous laughter from staff, also relying
on a few lifts but not this year.. :D

Out of interest was this just delivered or fitted, H or V rated?

So we're comparing like for like I paid £500 for 4 Vred Extremes, V XL rated, fitted, balanced & new valve from Dexel. Getting them fitted by sourcing them cheaply over the net added an extra £15/20 a corner locally

My local place charged £10 a corner to fit my winter wheels to my 108's. The best car investment i made last year was winter tyres, especially with the snow we had.

£448 delivered in two days from order have to say great service and delivered by DHP ... 94V XL rating so just need them fitted when my 276's come from Germany
cheapest again would you believe... :o

Ran Vredestein Quadrac all seasons on the Z3 last winter and was amazed how they performed in the snow so for those who have never considered all seasons, they work a treat :)

I've usually found Event Tyres pretty good and they wont knacker your alloys when fitting :)

Just fitted a set of all season Pirelli Scorpion Verdes to our X3 , only covered a few hundred miles but impressed so far by the feel & low road noise from them .
