Best place for tyres on-line?

Mytyres import from Germany and prices often good - for last set of vreds I called tyremen and they beat best price ( which was camskill ). Lots to choose from :)

I bought a set from Oponeo who were the best price at the time and delivered in about 3 days which isn't bad since they are based in Poland. They get good buyer reviews and are certainly worth a look.

Online not always the cheapest - my local place was £15 less/tyre than I could find online. Worth ringing around as well

Try camskill very good prices.i have used them in the past & often have offers on.

+1

My mate is service manager at porsche and camskill are cheaper than his suppliers, I've seen the quotes! :driving:

I tend to do a comparison of about 8 different suppliers, as some will be better deals on Michelin whilst others are better on Continental, etc.

For a while etyres were the best, and I got a corporate discount, but with so many of these things the price crept up, and for my Ford the local guy was the best bet, did a great job, and used a torque wrench not an air spanner to do up the nuts.

He also said that within reason, he'd match anything online.

Tapatalking...

+1 for mytyres - they supplied my last set of winter Vreds, very good price.

Tyremen have said they will try to best any other price if you tell them you're a Forum member. I think a couple of people including Guiseley. I intend to go to them and get some Vreds in the next couple of months when my rears die

The only problem with Camskill is they don't have a network of fitting centres so you'll need to find someone prepared to fit them.
Tried about 4 local tyre places near me including my Main Dealer who wouldn't entertain fitting tyres not purchased from themselves.
I remember PVR saying that he gets his Main Dealer to fit his.
I'm ditching my runflats for some Vreds in a few weeks time so I'll be in the same position as the OP.

I used Event tyres when i had Falkens fiited to my E85. Their modile fitting service is inclusive of the price, which at the time was very competitive.

True - £400 + VAT for staggered Vreds delivered - couple of quid cheaper than CamSkill and delivered next day.

Tried loads of online retailers at the start of the year when looking for a set of Vreds, ended up at the local Independant Tyre Centre round the corner, by the time you had added on postage and fitting the online guys were no cheaper, ring round you could be pleasantly surprised.

I used www.clickontyres.com for my set of Vreds and they did a good deal. The fella that runs the show knows his stuff and take the time to chat.

http://www.tyretraders.com --- I've used these guys for both the Falkens on the Z4 and the Continentals on the daily driver, they have proved to be very competitive. They also have the advantage of having a network of fitting centers that take delivery of the tyres and do the necessary.

On this side of the pond a lot of local dealer will beat Tirerack and other on-line sources especially when you consider shipping costs. The local dealer I use will not only do a slightly better bottom line price than Tirerack but when purchased from them lifetime balancing is included.
