Best place for gloss black kidney grills ?

Hi all,

I have been lurking on here a while and have recently bought a Z4M which I am really happy with after coming from an E92 M3. I will add some photos of it as soon as I get it looking as I want it. It's a forum car and there are loads of photos on here as it currently looks.

I want to change the standard kidney grills for gloss black grills. Do BMW make them and if not which are the best quality ones out there?

Thanks in advance

These are good for the price

Got mine on ebay from a UK seller, came next day for £49.99

I am far too impatient to wait for them to come from overseas

That's all well and good until you have to drive on a dirty road and your front end gets pummeled with stones. Resprayed mine 3 times before I gave up and bought some.

Not had any issues with mine as yet...... lots of coats of paint and even more lacquer.....

Thanks for the replies. Don't want to paint mine as i would like to be able to return it to original.

Am i right in thinking that BMW do not produce these ?

I bought some Plastidip Spray like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PLASTIDIP-PLASTIC-RUBBER-PAINT-SPRAY-CANS-AEROSOL-400ML-BLACK-GLOSSIFIER-SET-/261958585316?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cfdf2cbe4 and removed my grilles, gave them a good clean and applied 2 coats of Matt Black followed by 2 coats of Glossifier and I am very pleased with the result.

If you don't like it and want to return to the standard grilles then you just peel the rubberised paint off. Also has the advantage that if/when they get a bit stonechipped/tatty you can peel and re-spray them again. My scuttle panel under the wipers was also looking a little weather-beaten and faded so I removed that and gave it 2 coats of the Plastidip Matt Black only and it looks brand new.

Has anybody got any reviews on black grills that they have purchased ?

Bought these gloss black grills 2 months ago: http://www.ebay.de/itm/400782468657?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Perfect fit - looks great and still look absolutely new after 3000 km.
