Best OBDII Reader?

Would any of these devices tell me if the car is in transport mode and allow me to rest?

I had a couple of code readers which seemed to work ok but then I had a fault light which the readers didnt recognise. I asked on here and the hand held Creator was recommended so I purchased one. Brilliant, covers a range of BMW cars and pinpointed the fault immediately. Highly recommended in my view.

I have a Foxwell NT520 and a ThinkDiag (plus INPA on a laptop). Both work well on all cars, the Foxwell needs vehicle specific software purchasing, the ThinkDiag uses an annual subscription. Both are good.

The Creator 310+ or their updated 410+ scanners are preety good although my 310+ would not clear or reset Transport Mode even though its in the menu on the 310+. However BMW Scanner 1.4 on my laptop clears Transport mode and resets it ok, have done this on a few members cars when they have had it set due to low battery conditions happening. Also have INPA on the laptop but Scanner 1.4 is more straightforward and easy to use over INPA. INPA is good for indepth fault finding so don't be put off equipping yourself with it on a laptop.

I'm giving this one a try: BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scan Tool and Check Engine Light Code Reader. It's about $100 on Amazon in the US.

I’ve got an iCarsoft CR Pro which is a great multi-manufacturer scanner. It’s more expensive than the single brand ones thought. However, in the long term it’s a better buy. I’ve used it on various Audi, BMWs, Jags, Land Rovers and Porsche.

Definitely want something that doesn't just work on a BMW, but dang, $400!!!!!

Or, if you have a decent laptop available, add a copy of ISTA-D and you’ll have live data and all the diagnostic algorithms available. Takes some effort to get everything up and running, but once done, no need to look further.

Just bought a used Creator 310 of Gumtree for £20, was on Amazon for £60. Very easy to use, identified and cleared my oil level sensor code. Would keep an eye out for used ones, as it's one of those items which some people use once or twice and no longer need.
