Best months to re-proof your roof-

Hi all -can anyone tell me the best months to re-proof the roof,having just got mine ive oviously missed the before winter treatment,and does the roof have to be dry before products put on?Also can you over proof the roof or is it best to do it twice a year?-thanks :)
 
The product I use - Ragtopp needs the roof washing and cleaning then throuroughly drying. In Summer on a breezy day that's an hour or so in Winter it could be more than a day. Unless you've a warm garage and can leave the car for a couple of days forget it until Spring.

Once or twice a year is fine. Frankly I do mine once but it's garaged and has a hardtop in the worst months.
 
I do mine in the spring when the hardtop comes off,then again towards the end of summer.I can't recommend getting a hardtop enough, so pleased I splashed the cash and got one,I have no fears about leaving it outside all through the winters.
 
i tend to use the autogln version in winter (did is last nov as the reproofing can be done when the roof is still wet) and ragtopp in spring (marh/april)
 
Sadly with British Weather a good time is any time its dry :D

My top has been naked for a few months now will be interesting to see how much mildew she picks up compared to last two years protected
