Hi,

So what's your best ever retrofit???? Any car any part any price just your favourite.

For me it was a twin choke webber carb for my first car a 1.6l (78) ford capri.

Nothing I've ever done to a car since has made me smile so much!! :D :D :D The best £25 I ever spent!!

Hey Rolf, After last year I know why you need a winter set up!! Done a couple of weeks snowboarding in Canada (Lake Louise) last January and will probably be back again this coming January. Apparenty we got it very mild last year as a side effect of el nino? Lake Louise is without a doubt the most visually stunning place I've ever been.

Should have mentioned on the way from Calgary to Lake Lousie we seen a 4x4 on it's roof in the snow!! so a big  to winter set up.

Same as PVR + OEM Carbon Leather dash, interior looks much better now that brushed Aluminium has gone.

i think i also did that, i had a 1.6xl mk1 capri, i recall messing with a carb, i definately remember buying a chrome filter for it

i also recall changing the dash board, i put 1 in with extra clocks, may be from a GT?

think biggest job was changing the heater matrix on a renault 25, had to take out the complete dash board, front seat and centre console, took 2 days for what was a 20 minute job to replace the matrix :headbang:

For me - ripping out the dashboard of a Mini and replacing with a custom built MDF/padded leather effort repositioning/adding instruments.

I can remember changing that as well going from a 2 dial to a 6 dial set up.

They were the days when you could walk into just about any breakers yard and pick something up for a few quid and bolt it straight on!

I spent many a Sunday afternoon touring the local breakers just in case something turned up with a 4 branch manifold or vented brake discs

Head up digital speedo on Z4M Coupe which projects the speed onto the windscreen in digital figures. My eyesight isn't what it used to be and in the UK you need to know what speed you are doing past speed cameras and speed traps!!!
