hi all, i am from Hong Kong, new to this forum. Nice to meet you all big brothers. I have been searching on net for few weeks hoping someone who know best of Z4 to answer my question. And i know i get the right place finally..... the one and only one Z4 forum  . Hope you can help to solve my puzzle :|

I am planning to replace the wheel with Ac achnitzer TypeIV (Bicolor) for my sDrive30i, 19" is the only available size in Hong Kong. But what puzzle me is how i should manage the best combination between wheel and tyre size and the offset. Some website recommends the front 8,5J x 19″ with 225/35 R 19, the rear 9,5J x 19″ 255/30 R 19, do you agree this or another good suggestion? And what will be the offset with respect to this? this is the link i refer to (http://www.bmwhotnews.com/series/z-series/ac-schnitzer-wheel-tyre-combinations-for-the-new-bmw-z4/)

Here is my preference:
> i prefer nice looking rather than pushing for speed. Besides, you have no way to maximize your speed in Hong Kong considering the traffic.
> But, on other hand, i cannot sacrifice too much from sitting comfort. Coz my girl will complain me a lot.. :( , can i solve this by using some special type of tyre?

Hope someone here can help me in this ............thanks....

Welcome to the Forum. Not sure about the wheels sizes but would certainly check with Schnitzer who will advise you on the correct fit. A change from run flat tyres (original fitment) to non run flats will make a significant difference in ride quality.

I've found changing to the new Z4 has made a significant difference in ride quality! :P

Very much so, My new car is softer running on run-flats and 19" wheels than my old Z, which had 18" wheels and 452's on, and the ride was still hard!!

Even in sport mode the ride is still better

Rides not too bad on 19s with RFTs but I was unsettled a couple of times this afternoon when hitting slight potholes (the traction light came on and I could feel the car not happy through my bum and steering) I was pushing it a bit though and accelerating very hard at the time in 3rd 8)

Tornado, you managed to get your AC rims yet? There is an offset settings in the AC's web page which you can use to determine the spacers required for 19".
What tyres did you get finally? RFTs? How's the ride? Can post some pics here?
