My Z4 '08 was involved in a robbery, and had the roof slashed in the process. My first question is, is a half cover a viable option, and if so, could anyone recommend one? Secondly, is there an affordable option to repair my roof, because the car isn't worth a fortune, but I'd love to keep it if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.

With regard to a replacement roof, I've heard that they are notoriously difficult to refit. Do you know of anywhere that does the whole process at a price that doesn't make a 17 year old car an effective write-off? Also, I wasn't planning to use the cover whilst driving: I might be a noob, but even I know how dangerous that could be! I'm joking of course, and thanks for your time, patience and wisdom. As Zedebee said a half cover will work while your car is parked, and hopefully you can track down a used roof.
