Best bushes...?

About to get some new front suspension trailing arm bushes, most likely Powerflex as they come well recommended, but not sure on the arb bushes, as I think they are ready to be done too.

Anyone here have any recommendations on the Powerflex front arb bushes in combo with the front arm rear bushes?

Can I get them in black?

And where is the best UK place to get them?

Not sure I need any of the others yet (rear ones), but if a kit comes cheaper then I might just get the whole lot unless someone has any bad things to say about them!?

Many thanks

Why do you want polyurethane bushes unless you are using the car on a track? They will ruin your ride quality on the road & create a lot of noise. And what is your peculiar comment about "Can I get them in black?"? For Gods sake, you can't see the bloody bushes. Presumably you are 18, spend all your time in your bedroom on some PS2/XBox & have a sore todger? :)

I was thinking the polyurethane variety myself :D

What!!!

Like a 'fleshlight' - google if you dare (NSFW).

Seems to get good reviews on their web-site!

I just bought a pink lady, and it felt SOOO good. My wife was there while I was using, and it was like having a threesome.

My god, I just can't get over how good it was.

:?

The standard ones are expensive, and known to be fairly soggy, not so long lasting too. RFT > non-RFT tyres un-ruined the ride, from unconstructive rigidity, but adding some softness. The bushes should bring back the sharpness BUT retain clarity and consistency of feedback!

Do you have them fitted!? Seems the verdict is still totally out on if they are any good or not, so willing to take a punt and give some constructive feedback :)

If you want bright yellow bushes in preference over black, I worry :)

While trying to sort out some steering issues I replaced the OEM with polybush, but only on the front wishbones. Made no difference to noise, ride or feel. They were cheaper than OEM and a real pita to fit. Of course OEM come with lollipos already and aftermarket you need to press out old (or saw, chisel and beat to death) and press in the new, another pita.

If I did it again I'd probably stick to oem.

Oh ok.

OEM seem to be had for around £100 give or take, and the arb bushes are cheap as chips.

Might just get that little lot and DIY it then.

How do the wishbone ones come off then? Do the back ends of the wishbone just locate into the holes in the bush and push through by hand? Sounds like an easier job if the alternative is cutting out the old ones and hammering in the new ones (guess some old spare lollipops makes that job a bit easier)

Hmmmm...

If we are talking about the same parts here where the bush is fitted onto the end of the wishbone was an aweful job to get them off. On the OEM it's a metal sleeve, so on mine I had to drill the bush rubber, leaving just the sleeve on the end of the wishbone, then cut a slot in it with a gringer to allow it to be slid off. I guess 6 years of steel to alloy let it corrode on well.

The new poly bushes just slide on and a bit of a hammer and push fit. 2 part so I fitted the donut in the lollipop, then the inner sleeve then greased and fitted the complete set up.

There is a detailed photo write up where front and rear plush arb's were all done by (forget his name) sadly wrote his car off though.
