I need to buy a breathalyser for work to test staff randomly and wondered if anyone on here had any recommendations.

Thanks in advance

If your considering sacking someone for being over the limit at work your on very dodgy ground using an off the shelf kit ,you need to use a proper company to do the test under controlled conditions
.We use a outside firm a off the shelf kit wont stand up at a tribunal i speak from experience .

Thanks for the advice. I like the look of the Halfords one but take on board the point regarding not standing up to a tribunal.

Maybe get the Halfords one for myself and take advice on the legality side of things.

Surely a motoring breathalyzer is there to tell you whether you are legally fit to drive only. I'd be surprised if it could be used as a benchmark for other scenario's. :?

Correct OP is a scotch David Brent. :P

Not a great dancer but maybe not Brent bad!

Everyone under contract not to attend work while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They could be a danger to themselves or workmates if operating machinery while under the influence. The drink driving limit is a standard deemed by the courts to be under the influence and so makes a good marker for work as well.
