Best "beginner" tool set

Hey guys, I'm looking for a fairly cheap tool set (£50 or so) that would at least enable me to tear out my interior plastics so I can refurb them, as well as my seats. Many years ago I went to Halfords and bought a huge set that cost me about £150 but I never used 3/4's of the stuff.

Any suggestions?

TBH you don't need much at all. I'd invest in a half decent socket set? Whatever your preference but I've got 1/2" as my torque wrench is also 1/2" drive. You'll also need a trim piece tool set. Then finally get a good screwdriver bit set. Some links below. The trim piece set is rather expensive IMO. So worth playing around with screwfix etc if you need them ASAP. Otherwise eBay is also quite good.

Halfords socket set all day, life time warranty and the only part that's bad quality is the plastic case it comes in

That's one of the most important bits! I've got a really old hand me down socket set and the plastic inside is warped and broken... can never find the right socket bit!

Torx E and T socket sets are a good addition, you can buy cheap rails of ebay/amazon that will do the job.

Don't dismiss the Bahco range of socket sets. Check them out on Amazon.

This is what I have. And the box is sturdy as fook! lol :poke: philbo909
