Best approach to rectify these scratches

Hi Everyone,

I have a few scratches on my Z4 and would appreciate some advice on the best way to rectify them.

First is a "hairline" scratch on my bonnet, I can't really catch it with my nail so would this possibly polish out? If so, which polish do you guys recommend?

Second is a scrape, I think this may just polish out as well

This I think would qualify as a smart repair?

As would this:

And finally some leather treatment:

Any advice would be much appreciated, or if anyone can recommend someone that would be great.

Thanks.

You want Gliptone Liquid Leather for the bolster :

Works a treat, well worth getting the cleaner/conditioner too - in fact there's what looks like a great deal on the main page : http://www.liquidleather.com/index.html

Assuming you have Dream Red Oregon leather, they already have the right shade in stock.

It won't last forever, but only needs touched up every 3 or 4 months if you're careful getting in and out.

As for the scratches, I'm not an expert but plenty on here are so I'm sure you'll get some guidance

Brilliant, thanks for that :).

You might need to lighten or darken the shade that comes out of the main jar of dye to match your particular seats - but it comes with two little bottles that have lighter and darker dyes to do that. I had to use a couple of drops of the darker shade to get it just right.

One tip though - follow the instructions to the letter... Rushing it will just result in it not working. I know - I'm an impatient bugger and made that mistake first time round

Whereabouts are you?

Just outside of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
That's a shame,I live in a Kent .I could have sorted this for you.

The scratches or the leather ? Not that I need any help with either right now, but if you have hidden skillz I did not know of then I'd like to tuck the knowledge away for future reference :D

Good job there Bing,my bolster looks a bit like your previous bolster so I think I'll give this a go.

I'd give you my kit Lynchy... But it went with my car. Sometimes am way too great a guy

I earn my living as a smart repairer Alan, perhaps we should have spoken more on Sunday,if I can help anytime you know where I am.

Bloody hell - wish I'd known that. You're right, we should have spoken more  Unfortunately having WB with me can be distracting...

Might get you to have a look at my wife's car sometime - it could do with a little love...

I'd rather travel to someone who knows what they're doing than go round the corner to a chips away franchise and potentially make it worse.

May I ask your professional opinion on what needs to be done?

Our posts keep crossing,I was meant to pick your brain on Sunday about your previous leather, thanks for the gesture though. At least I now know where to get the kit

Good point, I should double check the color code for my seats. Hopefully they're about somewhere :).

That's the leather sorted, hopefully some wise forum members could direct me in the way of sorting out these scratches.
