Hello ,

I recently bought a Z4 coupe and i am now looking to change the wheels from the standard ones. The car came with the 18" Star spoke alloy wheels - style 203 but i want 19 or 20in , but I am not sure if they will be ok for the car . Pls can you share your wheel pictures , including any information to guide me , and also rough idea of the price . I heard there are 2 different sizes of tyre for rear and front...

Here's mine with 19's after I picked it up from the powdercoaters

18's work for me and others do go 19's and look great, but the larger the wheel, the trade off is weight and comfort and cost. The roads around me so bad, that even 18's are a liability. If you live in an area of glass smooth roads, then go for it. I fitted the usual CSL replica wheels on mine as never liked any of the wheels a Zed E86 came with. 108's corrode just sitting there and MV2's look like typical fodder from a 3 series. It was also the same price to refurb my MV2's as buying new replacements and are also cheap should I ding one on these rubbish roads.

I think 19s are the sweet spot for csl's aesthetically imo on the coupe. But 18s are every inch as beautiful, and as mentioned above, they will have a more forgiving ride through ditch field roads around the country, and arguably less punctures for some apparent reason. I'm going through heart vs brains scenario in my brain all the time until I decide to buy. Good luck whatever you decide to buy

I look both wheels? what are they called and any idea where i can get them. ?

CSL Replicas - CMWheels in ireland are a good reputable company, ive used many times- I think ive had over 100+ sets now from Chris and team.

Atomic are the favoured replica.

8,5J Et35 and 9.5J Et33 are the sweet spot for the coupe to avoid rubbing.

go for a 225/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear for the ideal combo - Its a tried and tested formula for me anyway

Take your pick...https://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b0s341p0/Car_Tyres_-_MPV_Tyres_-_People_Carrier_Tyres_-_19_inch_R19_inch_-_265_30_19_265_30R19

BMW Motorsport BBS Style 216 in 18".

I like them because they're strong, lighter than stock (but not so light as to be a liability for cracking over potholes), as well as being rare with limited edition homologation special WTCC racing heritage.
