Best Air Filter

Hi, back in the Z4 fold (at last) *yiippeeee*

Please does anyone have any preferences for which Air Filter to drop in ?

I've read a lot of b*llsh*t from K&N, but are they correct, or what do you consider the best option please ? I'm not after changing the system yet (although an M Gruppe looks nice), for the moment all I want is plug and play

I put a K&N into my Golf. The advert said better fuel economy and better performance. Better performance definitely, it breathed easier.

Fuel economy was worse though

it is a placebo - or does the fact that it breathes better allow it to rev more quickly - i do appreciate that they don't do much to improve BHP, but if they breathe better, do they rev quicker ?

i m sure someone on here has done tests or has a strong opinion
