Berkshire Indy Recommendations

I need some jobs doing on my 3.0 and was wondering if anyone from my neck of the woods would recommend and Independent garage, looking at getting brake fluid change, transmission fluid and expansion tank done, or maybe even a local member, I live in Reading by the way.

RBM are down in Hampshire, and only a short drive from you. I used them on my previous Z4 and was very happy, and they seem to have a very good reputation.

My sister, who lives in Wallingford, has used Grosvenor BMW in Reading for years and says they are good. Not the cheapest, though.

When I lived in Reading mostly went to J Tech. Decent guys and fairly priced, Jamie the owner has owned BMW’s so he knows what he’s doing.
Grovesner seemed fine but almost main dealer prices from what I remember so maybe not the best.
TWG in Camberley if you fancy a trip are good also.

RBM were a bit ‘meh’ when I used them recently. Fairly priced, nothing specifically wrong as such just expected a bit more maybe.

Anyway, plenty of choice, won’t go far wrong with any of the above 👍🏻

Yea I've heard that TWG are good, I've also heard a few things about RBM of late suggesting they aren't quite what they used to be.

I used TWG Automotive in Camberley for both my BMWs for many years. I only lived a couple of miles away so it was really convenient, although bookings were usually 3 or 4 weeks ahead.

But when Ross opened RBM Hampshire in Hook I could get things looked at much quicker so I started going there. However he's much busier now so bookings are a similar sort of time. Although I got lucky yesterday when I took my 3 Series for a regas and managed to speak to Ross so my MC is booked for an Inspection 1 on 24 June. :)

Since I moved I can't walk to TWG so I've stuck to RBM because Ross has loan cars whereas TWG have a hire car!

But I've never had an issue with the work at either place.

Interesting you say that, I hadn't heard anything off, though wasn't really looking to be fair. I've used them before many times in the past for work and been perfectly happy.
Sad to say, although it wasn't bad per se, there was enough little bits that added up to make me probably not return in honesty :( Maybe being too fussy but I didn't get the 'specialist' feeling that I had done in the past.
