I'm 50/50 for this, due to the fact I don't finish work on Saturday until 1am  All depends whether I can face having 5 hours sleep

Pants, that's this weekend & my winters are still on.

Dependent on a wheel changeover & the other half is working. Pls PM me the route just in case I pitch up

Thanks

Jembo

What time will you be at Newlands Corner? I live v close so may pop to see the group there....I'm drinking Saturday night so can't make Blackbushe at 7.30 :)

Imagine we would be there by 8.30 and will hang around for a while. Pop down if you can.

By the way, the road (A25) for about half a mile after Newlands corner is a fantastic stretch, might be worth hooning down that, you can turn around at the bottom and hoon back up then into Newlands :driving:

Sounds good. I've never actually driven around Pirbright or Newlands so happy to follow others who have more local knowledge.

IMPORTANT INFO / CHANGE OF STARTING POINT BELOW:

Think we may have to change the starting point for this as looks like the gates at Blackbushe are locked until the cafe opens at 9. Given the drive to Newlands Corner, I think a decent place would be Sainsburys Watchmoor Park. From there we can head South to Mytchett and pick up the Pirbright route.

So, 7.30am at GU15 3YN.

Sorry for mucking about with this, but just don't want us to turn up somewhere where we can't parK / stop.

Does anyone know a rough time when we may look to depart? as I have a prior engagement at midday so may or may not be able to attend accordingly..

Do the Pirbright bends have new speed restrictions now?
Yes they do, 40mph in some parts but sure its still a good route?

Happy to follow someone who knows a better route, I am not precious about the route and haven't driven the area before, JuniorJet suggested Newlands Corner and looked a good way to get there.

Might be worth taking it a little easy through there anyway, been a few offs I think in the past (old man alert :))

I'm glad you said that, wanted to point it out without sounding like the party pooper! You are right though, the perils of the route are well documented.

There's still a couple of cars in the hedges around Pirbright and the roads are filthy so watch out guys.

I drive that route to work everyday so quite familiar with this.

Unfortunately can't make it now but look forward to seeing some pics.

Have a good time.

Newlands cafe opens at 9am, so whatever time we leave sainsbury's we'll be there before it opens. We can probably hang around at sainsbury's until 7.50am to set off, don't leave much later than that otherwise the roads will become occupied by Granny and the bridge brigade...
