Ben's Zed Thread

Hi guys, I'm relatively new to the forum and think it's about time to introduce the new motor. I've been admiring a lot of other members threads on their cars to give me some inspiration for mine, I just been waiting for some nice weather to give the car a clean and to take some photos.

So here she is, 2003 maldives blue with 70k miles. Full BMW service history and well looked after.

I will take a few more pictures but here is one for the meantime.

Mods
1. Fit my sound system in, audison front components run by a massive audio nx4 amp, two 6.5 inch/8 inch Jl audio subs behind seats run on a massive audio N2 mono amp, pioneer head unit.

2. New wheels - Looking into buying CSL reps in gunmetal grey or black (undecided). Any recommendations on good copies or other alternatives?

3. Brake discs and calipers look like they've seen better days, so thinking about replacing them with MTEC products and painted calipers, (any other alternatives please advise).

4. Currently unsure about lowering as i don't want to ruin the ride comfort, however in time i think i would be persuaded with springs or coilovers but for now it will do as it is.

5. Carbon dipped engine cover, with maybe a few other items dipped but will decide nearer the time.

6. De-ginger the rear, side indicators and headlights - Not sure about the best way to go that isn't too costly, and i don't feel confident in taking my headlights apart. Any one on here near West Sussex that would do it for me at a price?

7. Of course the ever so popular stubby!

Thanks for reading guys, any advice would be greatly appreciated, look forward to hearing your comments

Plans sound good.
I've got mtec brakes on mine. There alright.
I got my bbs ch reps from bmautosport. Really good quality

Them wheels look good, the site does look promising. Would you suggest any other brand other than mtec then? Being alright doesn't particularly fill me with confidence.
