being made redundant :(

Sorry to hear this, makes my current loss seem like nothing.

Like others have said - hopefully it will turn out to be a good thing! My brother in law had this years ago and ended up setting his own business up (and stealing most of the previous companies customer base!).
 
Never been made redundant myself, however when I walk past our HR department I do quicken my pace a little :lol:
 
I have been made redundant a couple of times and have been on the mgr side of the desk too

get your list of questions lined up - they will have help funds for placement - be sure to ask for the highest level, and there are things such as laptops and mobiles and mobile numbers that mean very little to them but could mean a lot to you

check that they followed a good process - you would be amazed how many companies dont - and if they break the process even a little bit you could move the conversation from redundancy to a negotiated exit that is called a compromise agreement, and they pay better £££
