beginner question 313

Hey Guys,

First of all I am new to this forum and did some reading up on previous threads.
I own a 2007 e85 3.0i base package. Currently I am running on the stock 17s, 8x17 ET46 all around. I powder coated them in a glossy black years ago but they are starting to fade so therefore I am looking for some new wheels. I am very interested in the 313s, but am not sure which offsets I can run vs which ones I cannot.

Id like to go 18" not 19" since I find the roads not all that great in my area. I have been eyeing the following set:
OEM BMW E9x BMW Performance Style 313 18 inch Rims. Fronts are 8x18 ET:34, and rears are 8.5x18 ET:37.

There is another set for the 1series:
OEM BMW Style 313 BMW Performance Rim 18". Fronts are 7.5x18 ET:49, Rears are 8.5x18 ET:52.

I am a beginner and still learning about offsets.
Help is much appreciated in terms of fitment and looks

Thx

Hi and welcome to the forum
Below is a link that will help explain offset etc

http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator#Results

If you put your new wheel details in it will show you the difference it will make.

Thanks! According to the offset calculator the 313s for the 1series do not make any sense. The fronts retract by 9mm (outside) and the rears stay the same. The e9x version seems to be a much better fit. The fronts shift outward by 12mm and the rears an extra 15mm outward with 3mm more clearance.
1) Will there be any rubbing issues?
2) It should make the car look more aggressive?
3) Tire wise would my safest/best bet bet 225/40/18 and 255/35/18?

Thx
