Beeping when locked

My 03 3.0 has recently started beeping about 20 mins after being locked( a fairly loud regular beep which goes for about a minute, then stops for a few seconds, then starts again) If I open then re lock the car it stops. My initial thoughts are that the battery may be on its last legs, but has anyone else had this?
 
It tends to bo when A/ It's very hot, and the car has been sitting in the sun B/ When it is parked with the roof down. It's frustrating as it is an intermittent beeping.
 
Hi, are you sure it's not the passenger seat belt warning going off? Try plugging in the passenger seat belt next time, or has it done it with a passenger on board?

Not likely to be that as the car is locked i.e. not being driven :poke:
 
I disconnected the bonnet switch,and it hasn't done it since.I'll get a new one next time I'm passing the dealership.Thanks for the tip gannet :thumbsup:
