Beep / Light

Hi, i changed my tyres today from run flats to Falkens... i drove with them for about an hour until i got to a service station to check the tyre pressure that the tyre company set.

I set the back to 35 psi and the front to 33 psi - i then got in the car and after about 10 minutes, the Tyre Pressure Indicator light came on (red) and the dash beeped. I held down the Tyre Pressure Reset button but it never changed to orange or went away... i even tried again by holding it down for over a minute... a friend reckons i should have them at 32 psi all around... i am thinking maybe i need to turn them up as the Tyre Pressure Indicator only came on when i let air out...

Can anyone suggest what could be the problem... and how i can remove this light... thanks in advance...

You need to press and hold the button for around five secnds, you then need to drive for a little while. Just doing the button press alone will not reset.

33 and 35 are ok though.

And of course, your vehicle should be stationary when pressing it.

Make sure you have equal pressure levels in the left and the right wheel at each axle so there is no rotational difference. However, your friend is not entirely right. Factory recommended pressures are different for the front and the rear (check your door label).

Thanks for the reply guys... I was always pressing it while driving... will try from stationary now and report back, thanks
