Beep at Startup

Hello all,
Since yesterday everytime I turn the ignition to position 2 the console makes beeps, after startup all the warning lights go out like normal, I don't have a manual to see what this means :? can anyone shed any light?

Mine started to do this just before the fault emerged with the passenger seat belt warning buzzer. I detected it by putting my seatbelt on before starting the ignition, the seatbelt warning light came on with the buzz for a second or so before going off. Now it buzzes every time anyone sits in the passenger seat (with the seatbelt on) so it seems it was faulty for a while before it became totally knackered...... needs sorting soon, it drives me mad. This mght be the same problem youre having
 
Mine did this when the runflat detector went faulty (it kept saying that one of my tyre's pressure was low). I get occasional computer-type errors which are often fixed by turning the car off and on again. This one wasn't fixed by re-booting so I had to re-set it by pressing certain buttons. Can't remember the sequence but the book (or stealer) should tell you how.
 
Lol this happened to me the other day...
Started up...was like "what the hell is that noise"
Proceeded to depress clutch..disengage reverse gear...
oh sheeeiteee....rear parking sensors... :roll:
Oh well...
