Went to watch Journey Whitesnake and Thunder at the MEN last night was awesome.Probably showing my age but my 19 year old son was with me and he loved it. Thought i would therefore try and find out what my fellow zedders music tastes are, and as the title says: Have you been to any concerts lately?

Haha, I know what you mean, my back and knees ache really bad at gigs! Never been to a festival abroad yet. I usually do a UK once a year either Leeds Festival, Download, Sonisphere.

I only seem to get around to bands in local pubs these days. Lot of fun.

Here's my band:-

Saw Terry 'Superlungs' Reid at Bury Met last night. Met him before the gig and he explained he had an extremely sore throat but would do his best.

He was still pretty good but obviously really suffering and gave it his best shot which all attending appreciated even though he cut the set short and didn't do an encore.

For those that don't know Terry declined the lead singer role in Led Zep and recommended Robert Plant in his place. Good move! Plant says of him '"he should have had my life". Acknowledged by those in the biz to be one of the finest male voices the UK has ever produced in his genre along with Paul Rogers, Plant etc..

My pal who was driving passed a yellow Z4 on the M61 heading east about 10.30 ish. Saw it pull out and tailgate in a middle lane - very naughty! We gave it a wide berth. I only saw it in wing mirror briefly.

There's been a few recently...

John Otway in Jan/Feb much better than I'd expected! Had a beer with him and Wild Willy Barrett before they went on stage.

Suggs's one man show in Cambridge a few weeks back also the Illegal Eagles

Joe Cocker last week at Hammersmith Apollo

The Who June 16th at the o2

Rolling Stones last November :-) and again this coming July 6th - I'm taking my son to that for his birthday :-)

Just the two big ones this year...

Brice Springsteen @ San Siro, Milan in just over a week

&

The Killers @ Wembley, London end of June

Tend to do a lot of theatre/shows but first concerts I've done for a few years.

Its been a while but last July to watch Damien Rice at the Salle Pleyel in Paris.

I am not ashamed to admit the performance sent shivers down my spine and almost a tear to my eye.

Mesmerising and a must see for anyone that truely enjoys the art of live music.
