Beedub - Oil Sample Results

Hey Beedub,

I remember back at the beginning of the year (I think) you were sending an oil sample to the US for analysis. I never saw the results and can't find the original thread. How did you get on? It's something I'd like to start doing if the Zed is a keeper.

So between £30 and £60 which isnt too bad for the service, i guess even @ £30 it'll tell you what metals / nasties are lurking in the oil. Though how would you feel if you know a large bill was just round the corner....

I had this done about a year ago and this is the report that I got...
I plan to have this done again later this year.

ohhhh ill dig this out and post it all, all was well!!! as id hope from a 12k motor but they basically say the first one means nothing, i need to send every oil sample every few years now tog et an idea of whats happening and trends specific to my car. Good to know theirs a UK company doing now to.

I'm interested in this, but concerned that the results would just list a load of elements, ie metals in the oil, and I wouldn't be able to interpret them, ie, what should we be looking for, and at what level should it be a concern?

I've emailed them and asked for another copy as I've misplaced mine which is unusual for me tbh.
