Bedford BMW track day

Hi there, just a few pics from Friday night. A few zeds were there including a lovely breadvan so while I was more interested in nailing the corners than taking pics I got a few. Will try harder next time - I'm planning on getting a decent camera for the next trip and actually trying to take a decent image rather than just snapping at random. Good to meet you Matty, hope you spot this.

Anyway here you. Lovely evening as you can probably see. The flies seem to love the front of my car that's for sure :P

Weird I removed the plates from photobucket but they are still showing up. Hopefully no one is too mortified.

Good pics  It was good to meet you too mate. I completely forgot to say to you about the torque wrench, I went to get it out to take with me but someone had the garage keys so I couldn't get in to bring it :headbang:
It was a great evening, I really enjoyed it :D :driving: I know what you mean about the flies, the front of mine got covered, I did do 475 miles though :o
The plates are showing as hidden to me, I'm not bothered about mine being shown though anyway. I only took a few pics as well and they're not great but I'll get them uploaded. Are you going to the other one at Bedford?

Hi Matty

Good to hear you got back OK too, it looked like the car was running a little hot after the last session 8)

Sadly I can't make the next one as I'm on holiday...plus I promised to take the girlfriend next time. Having sampled Bedford I'll definitely be back for more at some point this summer. Lots of fun taking these cars on track and it was great to take the traction control off for the second half and really get stuck in :driving: I'm hoping that chap with the zmcoupe sends me some video footage as he was recording me on the chase for about 5 mins so that might look pretty cool.

PS no worries about the wrench I'll find a way!

Yeah luckily after taking it steady back on the road it soon settled down and was running nice and smooth again :D I was really getting into it by the last session :P It was much better after turning the traction control off, I was surprised at how controlable the Zed is without it, I was really impressed with the car  Bedford's a great track, I'll definitely be returning!

Looks VERY quiet. You lucky buggers :x

Sounds like you had fun, Bedford is a quick track and so long that trying to remember how to hit every corner takes a quite a few laps. By the looks of it you had the whole track to only a few people which would have been quite a treat, gutted i couldnt come down :(

whens the next one???????

The next one at Bedford's on Fri 27th August and there's a couple of others at Cadwell Park tomorrow and another at Snetterton. I'd highly recommend Bedford for a first track day as there's plenty of run off if you make a mistake and it's a great circuit.

See here for details

Yeah it was quiet, I'd say about 20 cars, it was great :D

There's another on 27th Aug if you can make it, see link on my previous post

Could well be up for the 27th, we should start another thread about that. I mean 50 quid! Its less than a full tank of gas.

Yep well worth it at that price - I can't believe there wasn't more interest originally to be honest. The tuition was a massive help for me and that was only £25 on top. I'd hoped all track days were that quiet and civilised but I guess we just got lucky! I can't believe they let me out on track without a helmet at the start either, I thought we were driving over to the pit lane and then I find myself in a convoy doing 5 laps practically flat out :o fun times...

Nice one. Consider it done :)

I did the same! I was trying to drive with one hand half the time as I'd put the helmet in the passenger footwell and I kept standing it back upright or holding onto it when I could because I didn't want it to get damaged rolling around!
