Me and the mrs went out for a drive in the sun this afternoon to bed my new brakes in. Lovely sunshine we dont get much here in England so i thought id take a few snaps on the pub carpark when we stopped for drink.

Very nice. :) Did you have any significant problems? How did you put the BMW on the calipers? What brand rotors did you use? I went to the Tire Rack web site and as I remember they gave a bedding in procedure. I was wondering if you did any prescribed method in the bedding? But as far as looks goes you have made a good choice. :driving:

the discs (rotors) i got came from this company http://www.crnproducts.co.uk/catalog/ very good service indeed they sent me the wrong rear discs at first and really they couldnt of done more to get me the correct discs as fast as they could. You can spec what you want so i went with 20 grooves and silver zinc coated but you can have black or gold coating or a different number of grooves if you want. The caliper decals came off EBAY item number 380031965434 i degreased my calipers and painted them satin black then stuck the decals on when dry a it fiddly and i was unsure if i liked them at first but they have grown on me.

Looks great... not sure if it is the light or not but it looks like you've blackenned the inside of the wheels? I suspect it's just the light but it's got me thinking that blackenning these hard to reach areas could be an interesting effect as well as stopping the wheels looking quite so mucky.

its not the light, when i had the 108's refurbed i had the inside of the wheels sprayed gloss black then clear coated it makes cleaning inside a breeze plus imho the look great.

great idea... might consider that if I got mine refurb'd.

Who did the refurb for you?
