Beautiful morning - beautiful engine. . .

So, decide to fill the Zed with higher octane fuel and take it for an Italian Tune up to check on parts of our route for tomorrow and check to see what the situation is with the very occasional misfire before our hoon tomorrow with a view to perhaps buying some additive for injector cleaning. . .

60 miles later and no misfire (tried all ways to illicit it) engine as smooth and as powerful as it's ever been so the additive remains unbought. . .

Feel much more positive about tomorrow - now on with the cleaning.

We shall see. . .

The moral of the story is..... always use 99 Octane, Shell V Power Nitro or Tesco Monentum99

Never used any lower octanes if at all possible in either my past E85 or present E89 and had no issues

Funny you say that...
I've had 2 errors code recently (E171 & E174 = Bank 1&2 too lean), and since I've changed back to standard octane fuel it's not come back, and all runs fine !
