Looking at the bc coilovers guys

I Own a z4 coupe

Questions I require help on are

There's only 1 set listed for non m's " BMW Z4 03-08 e85"

I'm assuming these will fit all z4's e85 and e86 including coupes . Even though listed for only e85's?

Did you guys running with them need smaller drop links? As I'm aware some coilovers need shorter links

If so do the bc's come with them?

And lastly

What spring ratings would you advise

6/8
7/8
Or 7/10

Any help much appreciated

Regards

Yes they will fit, they do also come with the shortened droplinks, great quality kit.

I can't comment on Spring ratings because I've got bags on mine instead of springs and I haven't a clue what springs came with mine

Go with the standard springs supplied.

They can supply stiffer springs for about 70-90 for a set (front or rear)

As Gav says the drop links supplied are shorter and what you should use.

And yes only one option for any e85/86.

Good set. Sold mine to a forum member and they looked barely used

From looking at different websites there is no standard springs :scratchhead:

Different websites are selling the coilovers with different spring weight

Running 7/8 here on my daily.

Managed to get the car running pretty well. Firm enough to abuse but still comfortable enough to get around with.

Go on the BC website and require and they will direct you.

It's really up to you as there is no right or wrong.

You either want soft or stiffer springs

Bare in mind the soft are slightly stiffer than stock but sill comfortable.

Neil's got the middle ground on 7/8kg

The higher the weight the more it takes to compress so middle ground should be prefect for fast road.

Also what wheels are you running? I ask as if you get any rubbing might be worth using stiffer springs to reduce that but otherwise go for 7/8kg.

Hope that helps

Thanks running 224's on coupe think I might go for for the 6/8 though , a tad softer, the kw's are 5kg/MM. So these are still stiffer

I though KW's run progressive springs? (My KW's certainly do)

Progressive and linear have different characteristics.
