I try and refrain from commenting on for sale threads, but these represent the most interesting definition of ‘refurbed’ I think I’ve ever seen.

I really think you’re going to struggle to achieve even the lower end of your price range from the forum, sorry.

Thanks.

I'll be putting my CH-Rs up soon, I suppose you think they're worth about £200?!

Not at all, if they’re genuine, very nice rims.

Have a look back through this part of the forum at previous sales of 108’s in need of a refurb. That will give you a much better idea of what these are worth

I’d have to agree that refurb does look poor, or maybe it’s just the effect in pictures. I think the problem with these wheels is the difficulty in refurbing them properly thus the low prices when they need work, and why properly refurbed mint ones go for a good price.

Contrary to popular opinion however, I think these are the best looking wheels for the E85/6!

Professionally refurbed, mint sets for £400-£450 on here. Search the for sale forum.

For the money you want, I'd try eBay.

They actually look stunning and unless you're going to kneel on your hands and knees to look at them when they're on the car, there's no visible issues with them

Have a look at this thread for an idea of a quality referb...

Jeeeeeez, you still going?! Who put 50p in you?! If you don't want them, I suggest you float off to another thread! If you or someone else does then a sensible offer is welcomed!

I’m trying to help you get a sense of reality, you’ll be waiting for ever and a day to get anywhere near £500 on here

I linked you to a thread with a professionally refurbished set of these, in brand new condition with an asking (& probable selling price) of £400.

Others have suggested Ebay as a possible source for a higher sale value.

I’m not going to post anything else on this thread, but they look like they’ve been refurbished with plasticine.

If any Mod is watching, please feel free to give me a warning, I’m frankly surprised there haven’t been more comments.

They look like they have been refurbished with plasti-dip if you look closely at the finish.

Problem you have on here is we've seen it all and know what is good quality and what isn't...it is a forum for Zed enthusiast at the end of the day.

If I'm going to sell on here I know I've got to be realistic with pricing. I'm selling a set of the same alloys atm and I'm not ready to drop them below £500 yet so I haven't posted them on here. Loads of other marketplaces to go at if you want top dollar.

Absolutely, I get that.

I put that I was open to offers initially and was criticized, I've said what I've seen them sell for (some in worse condition too) and have been criticized. Then there's a know-it-all with no interest in them but decided to put his ten pennith in and hijack my threat and antagonise me because he obviously has nothing better to do, I can't win!!

At the end of the day they're worth whatever someone wants to pay and I'm open to that.

Tha k you for your helpful comment though buddy, at least there's someone with some common sense. Looking closely they have been split, rubbed down and sprayed but not professionally. They look great from a couple of feet away, maybe my camera is too good 😂

I don't think getting tetchy is going to help :? ive seen hundreds of sets of 108s change hands on this forum from scrappers to minters .
Can't recall the last time any went for £500 & certainly not ones with at best "iffy" finish & at worst  like they have been hand painted with a dolls head :(
The forum is a knowledgeable place , it operates for the users & being blunt here ( as you have been ) if you sold those to a member for anything close to £500 you will have stiffed them .
Your wheels your choice what to aim for but don't be offended when there are negative comments , best of luck with the sale
