I may be in a position to afford a new set of rims soon (get a job inside 1-2 months and new rims will be mine) anyway I have found a set of BBS alloys I quite like and have done some research (Some) and was wondering if anyone had any experiece with them and what peoples thoughts were on them as a brand :?

Excellent and lightweight. Had a few sets of genuines, and a few reps, all good.

Which ones are you after? As only probs I've had have been lacquer peel on LMs

Since when did BBS start making chariot wheels :P

Seriously there are a few members as Chris has said with BBS or BBS reps Easty027 for one springs to mind. IIRC BBS actually make quite a lot of the OEM rims for BMW so there should'nt be ant serious quality issues 108's aside (just a split rim design flaw to be honest).

Especially handy choice for you as I think BBS actually make wheels that can even turn left.

So what are you looking at now? Besides

:worthless:

How'd the interview go on Monday?

Laquer peel on LMs is just due to having a dished polished finish. If looked after genuine LMs can survive winter salt, but it's not easy. Reps aren't quite so fortunate.

I've run BBS CH blacks (19") on the TT for over 12 months without issue. Heard of a few that cracked on potholes, but seen the same with oem wheels. Nice looking wheels though mate.

It was a CBI interview which I past, I now have to go into Edinburgh tomorrow to take a written exam, If I pass that I then have a final Interview and assesment session next Thursday. I remember the days when if you had a head 2 hands 2 legs and spoke english you had the job.

Anyway these are the wheels and staggered set up was also thinking of Putting the Falken 452's on, 225/40 front and 255/35 rear
these ones

A fine and distinguished choice of wheel my good man.

I'm sure even Charlton Heston himself would approve. :D

Things out here are ok, saw a young lady last night in a pair of very short shorts and high heels riding a Fireblade :heat: I just didn't know where to look. :?

Currently praying for rain, never thought I'd say that, anything just to drag the temp down abit it's dropping to about 24degC at night.

Have a good run at the end of the month, I'll be thinking of you all as I top up my lobsterness and good look with the interviews.

wouldn't be my choice of wheel, although I realise its not that you wanted the opinion on!

Good luck with the exam etc!

... and another thread we can show Mrs Nosa next time we're out :D

Not a bad looking wheel at all. I'm more a fan of OEM wheels in most instances, but I'd be interested to see those on a Z4...

All the best for Thurs :)

Let me put that into the correct context, it's not so much I didn't know where to look as much as I didn't know where to look in case I missed some other vision of lovelyness.

And if A11y trys to blackmail us about this we'll just to have to let Mrs A11y know about his little secret

Thanks to all for the feedback on the wheels, it will either be these or VMR710's but struggling to find those in staggered 18", would go for the 19's but to worried about rubbing with the car being on Eibachs.
Whats everyones thoughts on the Tyre set up I am thinking of getting 225/40 front and 255/35 rear??

In keeping with all great institutions I was merely trying to suggest that in order to preserve our manhood should the other halfs stumble accross this or any thread in which there might be incriminating evidence that maybe we could fabricate something to keep 'Mr I'll get that up on my phone in just a minute' from performing such acts, maybe I was just being to devious. :D

Ahhhh you mean like the road trip he suggested to Amsterdam without wifes, or the time he told us he only married for the money.

Well there I was on the train to Edinburgh this morning going for the written exam when the company called my mobile to tell me they are having to reschedule till next Tuesday..£6 train ticket wasted.. :headbang: :headbang:
